Care for your Cushions
If looked after properly your Bluecuckoo cushion will last for many years and its colour will be as bright and vibrant in fifty years as it is today However, fabric items are susceptible to many hazards:
The sun causes bleaching and colour change. All items should be kept out of direct sunlight. If you are out during the day, or are going to be away for any length of time, close curtains or blinds.
Deal with any spillages immediately by dabbing with a dry cloth, do not spread the stain with the addition of more water and seek expert advice. Do not use any solvents that might damage the material without consulting a professional. The cushions are dry clean only.
Damp is damaging and damp stains can be difficult to remove. Make sure the room is well ventilated and avoid leaving items in a vacant, unheated house.
Moths: moth larvae eat fabric. If you see moth damage we suggest you place the items in sealed plastic bags and freeze them for 48 hours. This will kill the moth eggs and then use a deterrent to stop further infestation.
Generally your cushion should need nothing more than a dashed good plumping to maintain its shape.
